Open the last 7 days, find out where lightning struck and replay a storm.
How do I see past lightning strikes near me?
Open Lightning Alerts, tap Find, then the row under Strike history. You see the last 7 days around your location or your saved place: how many storms and strikes there were, the closest strike, strikes per hour, where they struck and a list of storms. With a saved place, choose My Location or the place at the top.
Did lightning strike near me last night?
Open Strike history and tap one of last night's hours in Strikes per hour, or slide along the day. The map shows only the strikes from that hour. To see how far one strike was from My Location or your saved place, in which direction, and on which day and at what time it struck, tap Replay this hour, then tap the strike.
Can I replay a storm?
Yes. Tap a storm in the list, or Replay this hour, to play its strikes back in time order around My Location or your saved place. As it plays, the panel counts the strikes of the last 10 minutes and shows the closest and the strongest strike so far. One storm replay every 30 days is free, and Pro replays every storm.
How far back does strike history go?
Strike history covers the last 7 days, today included, in your local time. It shows the strikes within the alert distance you set for My Location and your saved place. The latest strikes are on the live map, which shows the last 60 minutes.
