Can I get lightning alerts for my campsite?
Set your campsite as the saved place before you leave home and turn on Lightning alerts. Nearby alerts cover camp while you drive in, set up, or head out on a day hike, and each alert opens the live map.
How do I read a busy storm map at night?
Choose Ground in the filter when cloud flashes crowd the map. Ground-reaching strikes stay visible, and the age colors show which ones are newest. Switch the strike colors to Strength to spot the strongest strikes around camp.
Can I see rain and lightning together at camp?
Turn on radar to see radar and lightning on the same live map. It shows where rain is falling around camp and where recent strikes are, without opening a separate weather app.
